The primary goal of the Modern Mystery School is to bring peace to the world through the personal transformation of each individual.
The initiatory path, teachings, and ancient tools of the Modern Mystery School—within the Lineage of King Solomon—enable us to connect with our own divinity and with higher spirituality, and to live a life of joy here in the physical world.
This lineage dates back over 3,000 years and currently exists in its integrity thanks to three tireless guardians and members of the Third Order: Founder and Hierophant Gudni Gudnason, Sovereign Ipsissimus Hideto Nakagome, and Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon. All three are leaders, master teachers, and high-level initiates who fulfill various roles within the Modern Mystery School.
Founder Gudni received authorization to open the EMM in 1997, and the Third Order was established in 2017. Founder Gudni was born in Iceland and was initiated into the King Salomon Lineage in the 1970s. He is an expert at conveying metaphysical and esoteric teachings using analogies and parables.
Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon specializes in presenting Hermetic and esoteric wisdom in a practical and applicable way (e.g., How to Live a Hermetic Life; Hermetic Joy; The Divine Feminine and Masculine; relationships; etc.). He is also a Master Ritualist instructor. He has played—and continues to play—a vital role in the global expansion of the EMM. Since he joined the lineage in 2004, the EMM has expanded from 12 to 55 countries.
Sovereign Ipsissimus Hideto Nakagome brings the full wisdom and power of the Samurai to his work within the Modern Mystery School. He teaches with humor and a sense of fun, awakening in people an awareness of the beauty and goodness within themselves in order to inspire the healing and profound empowerment that each individual can attain.
The leadership of the Modern Mystery School also includes the Council of Ipsissimus and the Council of 12 Women, as well as specialized instructors and teachers from around the world.
